Turing.com is looking to hire a C++ Windows Kernel Driver Developer on behalf of a US-based company that is developing a simple and powerful way for other businesses to control and secure their data. The candidate will work implementing efficient file system drivers and building Windows services that run in user space. The company is developing a simple, low-cost method to implement security devices directly into files and ensure that sensitive data is never accessed without permission. The company managed to raise over US$1 million during its Semente investment round.

Responsibilities:

• Implement efficient file system drivers and develop Windows services capable of running in user space

• Work with the company's development and product teams, and their members distributed around the world

• Actively seek to learn about the operating environment of software solutions to understand their limits and risks

• Use solid troubleshooting and bug-solving skills to identify the source of any software defect

• Analyze and review the technical documentation of numerous products, including Windows itself, to understand the interaction of software solutions with the components of these systems

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• At least 4 years of relevant experience as a C++ developer

• Deep experience with C/C++, especially focused on creating efficient, safe and thread-safe code

• Basic understanding of user-mode/kernel interactions and Windows driver development experience (aka mini-filter drivers)

• Experience developing Windows services in user space

• Extensive experience with unit testing and test-driven development

• Experience with Windows installer development and desktop development

• Experience delivering quality products and being involved with all stages of software development: ideation, design, application, delivery and support

• Understand about web application development on server and client-side (REST and JavaScript)

• Basic knowledge of public key encryption, symmetric key encryption, TLS and other encryption terms will be an asset

• Good written and oral English
