As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. You will provide engineering thought leadership across teams, mentor and coach junior engineers and encourage continuous improvement in delivery practices. You will enjoy partnering closely with your clients whilst working within a broader creative, collaborative, and innovative team, with a strong desire to make an impact.

Your key responsibilities

  • Collaborate to design elegant solutions to complex problems which satisfy user and non-functional requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement of the delivery function towards optimal functionality and efficiency
  • Engineer solutions to minimise occurrence and prevent recurrence of production issues and to facilitate reduced mean time to recovery
  • Re-imagine existing systems in a modern cloud ecosystem and deliver successive improvements to drive our business functions forwards

Your skills and experience

  • Full stack developer with experience building systems test first, using Test Driven Development (TDD) and related techniques
  • Application development with modern Java and JavaScript. Ideally one or more other languages, such as, Kotlin, Clojure or Python
  • Effectively communicates complex messages in a clear and concise manner
  • Drives an open culture with focus around pairing, sustainable code and shift left culture
  • Familiarity with private and public cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), OpenShift, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Terraform
