We're hiring backend engineers to join our team and drive our product forward. The role is in Canada, preferably Ontario, and fully remote.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design and build API connected microservices to facilitate Deeded flows
  • Build integrations with various third party and internal data providers
  • Build complex data transforms to convert varied data to common storage
  • Design data stores to efficiently store and retrieve large amount of information
  • Write exemplary code to create best in class web-based interfaces, reusable interface components and various integrations
  • Work with product owners to understand and evolve the requirements in order to translate them into working code

Who we're looking for:

  • Prior working software development experience and proficiency with primarily JavaScript and Python
  • Understanding of building and consuming RESTful, WebSocket and other types of APIs
  • Experience with MySQL and/or NoSQL databases like MongoDB or AWS DynamoDB
  • Drive to learn new languages and technologies - we do not expect you to know what we do but we do expect you to learn it quickly

Other knowledge that will help but not required:

  • Experience with databases hosted as AWS services
  • An understanding of serverless methodologies
  • Knowledge of cloud management tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS SAM

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to $120,000.00 per year
