• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code
• Develop and manage server-side components
• Design and deploy high-performance applications
• Integrate server-side logic to the user-facing components built by front-end developers
• Incorporate data protection and cybersecurity measures
• Ensure that the main database and front-end requests are at their optimal performance
• Identify and implement data storage solutions
• Perform diagnostic tests, fix bugs, and provide technical support to users
• Document software development processes and prepare project reports
• Provide suggestions for improvement and apply them to daily tasks and processes

REQUIREMENTS:

• In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle
• Proficiency programming in more than one object-oriented programming language; JAVA, JavaScript, Python
• Experience with HTML and Frameworks such as; React.JS, Node.JS, Redux, and ExpressJS
• Experience with SOAP, REST web service development
• Expert knowledge with languages such as; Hadoop, Storm, Spark, Kafka, Hive, NFI, Scoop, etc
• Experience with database knowledge in; SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc
• Must demonstrate initiative and effective independent decision-making skills
• Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Expert-level ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulate at all levels and audiences.
• Experience mentoring and/or leading other development staff.
• Expert-level ability to understand overall IT strategy and apply/implement IT strategy in assigned projects/initiatives
• Experience using Agile methodology.
• High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy

Important notes: This role is for Node.JS backend Developer who is strong in managing the exchange of data between servers and users, developing back-end components, and connecting applications with other web services. They also support front-end developers by integrating web-based applications.
