JavaScript Job: React.js Developer

Position Title: React.js Developer

Entity: Glow Networks

Classification: Exempt

Pay Scale: $75 p/h, C2C

Duration: 12 months+

Reports To: Project Manager

Work Location: USA Remote

Special Requirements:

Highly skilled with ReactJS, Python, MySQL, UI/UX development, ROBOT Framework, Rest API.

Experience with and/or certification in AWS is also desired.

Experience with Routing and Switching, Cisco lOS, and Cisco Routers are an additional advantage

Required Education/Experience and Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model; proficient with React.js
• A thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles having experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• 8+ years of Front-End developer experience is required.
• Thoroughly familiar with UI/UX development and ReactJS.
• Fluent experience in Python, Flask and similar python frameworks
• Must be able to develop solutions on MySQL, Python/Django stack with ReactJS as the Front End/backend
• Participate in automation framework development (ROBOT Framework)
• Hands on experience in flask, REST API a plus
• Experience in Front End a plus (HTML/CSS/JS )
• Familiarity with deployment, docker & microservices
• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript and RESTful APIs
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js) and common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Knowledge of the modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial)
• GraphQL experience will be a bonus
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Physical Requirements:

• Will primarily work remotely
• Proof of Covid 19 vaccination is required
• Nominal day shift, extra work may be required on nights and weekends

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with your team to develop elegant front-end solutions
• Support customers with coding requirements
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to the backend team

Other Functions:

• Focus on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows
• Ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain
• Coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure
