- Work with development partners and/or new hires to address key capabilities supporting engineering (e.g. data science, DevOps, security, QA, support, site reliability, etc.)
- Design and develop scalable and robust software solutions for the creative operations team
- Collaborate to understand and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and guidelines for the team
- Continuously improve the performance and scalability of our software platform
- Work closely with product managers and designers to build and iterate on user-facing features
- Present solutions and architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer building high performance web applications.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Ruby, or Java Strong understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React Experience with developing and deploying cloud-based solutions using platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Git
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Work on one or more substantial projects with Next.js, React JS and friends.
- You've done enough projects to identify what's missing or unworkable in a wireframe or design, and have the basic design and UX chops to improvise when necessary.
- You have a deep understanding of modern web architecture and server-side rendering.
- You understand responsiveness, breakpoints vs. fluidity, and the myriad issues that emerge making designs work across devices.
- You can manage complexity in a large frontend codebase and have strong experience with rich client-side apps.
- You're keen on keeping things tidy and are familiar with the options available for doing so — Gulp/Grunt, SASS, ES6, etc.
- You can take a design and make it responsive and fluid and generally bring it to life.
- You're well-versed in the classic frontend skills, know your meta tags and SEO basics, and can deal with browser/device compatibility issues should the necessity arise.
- You like working on large apps where performance, responsive design, and API integration are fundamental concepts that inform your code and architecture decisions.
- Experience with SaaS development and scaling software solutions
