The Role:

We are looking for a highly capable Javascript engineer to build and optimize our web-based applications. You will be collaborating with our back-end application engineers, designing components, and integrating data storage and protection solutions.

You should possess extensive knowledge of Javascript inc. ReactJc based services and experience in a similar role. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting Insurance and Finance projects across the Group.

Responsibilities of the Role, but not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining all application components
  • Ensuring optimal performance of responsiveness to application requests
  • Collaborating with other front-end and back-end engineers on the integration of elements
  • Creating customer-facing UI and back-end services for various business processes
  • Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code
  • Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions
  • Running diagnostic tests, repairing defects, and providing technical support
  • Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies
  • Keeping informed of advancements in the field of JS development
  • Reporting and documenting of work
  • Presenting work in meetings to varying stakeholders

Key attributes and experience:

  • Proven experience as a Javascript Software Engineer or similar role
  • A degree in programming, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience working APIs such as REST or NodeJs
  • Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies such as ReactJs, NextJs, HTML5 and CSS3 is beneficial
  • Problem-solving skills and critical mindset
  • The desire and ability to learn other languages in the future to meet an evolving technical stack
  • Important; Great interpersonal and English communication skills
  • Experience of AWS services would be beneficial
