JavaScript Job: UI Developer

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Gathering and evaluating user requirements related to UI design and navigation, in collaboration with product owner, business analysts and engineers

• Design and implement responsive and user friendly UI mock ups, UI prototypes and UI components to be used in a large cloud-based web application

• Create a rich user-centered experience

• Participate in testing of completed components to assess user experience

• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness, 508 compliance)

• Implement changes based on user feedback

• Coordinate UI development with other backend developers in the team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI development using HTML5, CSS, bootstrap

• Proficient in JavaScript and jQuery library

• Very good recent experience with Front-end JS frameworks such as Angular, React orVueJs. Preferably Angular 14+

• Very good experience in Bootstrap or similar CSS frameworks and implementation of responsive and 508 compliant design

• Experience in independently make UI mock ups and UI prototypes (using HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap etc) which can be used in Angular project

• Should be able to work in the role both as UI, UX expert and provide the UI skeleton, styles etc and also work as Angular developer

• Should be able come up with various options for site lay out, header, footer navigation, styling for UI elements, screen layout etc

• Experience in working with JSON and REST API

• Experience with coding and the ability to troubleshoot and analyze websites and applications using chrome developer tool

• Understanding of section 508 UI accessibility standards

• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

Preferred

• Strong understanding of visual design and how it applies to UI

• Experience developing UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look

• Experience in medical/clinical research domain

• Experience in working with REST APIs and C# in Azure/AWS

• Experience working in SQL server or any relational databases

• Experience in serverless applications in cloud environment

• Experience in cross-browser testing

• Experience working in Agile software development environment

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $65.00 per hour
