JavaScript Job: Python Developer

Job Title: Python Developer
Location: Fully Remote
Salary: $75,000-$110,000

Sky Castle Studios is seeking a skilled mid-level Python tools developer who can demonstrate sound technical skills, both architecting new technologies and developing into the existing code base. The developer will be working with our existing dev team to expand the tools and features of heroforge.com. The specific purview of this role will relate to order processing and e-commerce. Our team works around a flexible agile-like development structure without formal daily standups. The primary initial duties for this individual will be to expand on our existing API and continue integrating our existing systems into a flexible and extremely durable codebase.

The dev should be well-versed in API development and best practices, as well as have good knowledge of microservices technology for serving up data and media. Experience in video game server design and implementation would be an added bonus.

Technical Skills :

• Python
• Django
• Experience with asynchronous or scheduled tools
• MySQL
• Linux Systems: Debian/Ubuntu
• Cloudflare and Linode experience helpful but not required
• Javascript Knowledge helpful but not required.

General Qualifications :

• Experience designing and deploying command-line python tools in a linux environment
• Ability to quickly implement tools and code updates within an actively operating environment
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment
• Ability to reliably set long-term project goals and follow through with implementation.
