JavaScript Job: Frontend Engineer, Creator Tools

Our team is building tools to optimize the creator-to-fan relationship, including native video, enhanced podcasting features, improved creation tools, and new community experiences. We're continuing to invest heavily in building the most talented team in the Creator Economy and are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer for our Creator Tools team to support our mission.

About the Role

• Build products that maximize the reach and ROI of Patreon creators
• Engineer tools with high craft that maximize simplicity and power
• Synthesize feedback from user research, interviews, market insights and trends to build components that solve our users' most immediate problems
• Employ an iterative approach to development with a focus on shipping evolutionary releases that culminate in revolutionary products
• Work hand in hand with cross-functional partners to refine and deliver new features
• Contribute to company-wide efforts to refine our front-end tech stack

About You

• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Excited to craft delightful user experiences and reusable components using Next,js and React, grounded in JavaScript and TypeScript best practices
• Good knowledge and understanding of modern web technologies (we use Flask, Node.js, gRPC, HTTP)
• Able to interact with and extend REST APIs
• Experienced with build tools like Webpack, Babel, and CircleCI
• Preference for practicality over dogmatism
• Penchant for solving complex requirements with elegant and simple solutions
