Role Value Proposition:


The Full Stack Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of solutions, based on a set of standards and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise, data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organization’s and the business goals and objectives. The Full Stack Software Engineer participates in the creation of architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms. Leads the collection and documentation of user requirements as well as the development of user stories and estimates into technology solutions for product features, in collaboration with Product Owner. The Full Stack Software Engineer identifies and implements operating efficiency solutions for specific product feature. Assists in upgrading or patching applications/platforms as needed.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Leading the collection and documentation of user requirements.
  • Leading the creation of architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms in a limited capacity.
  • Analysing, designing, and driving solutions for major components and features. Responsible for front or backend development, with an understanding of both.
  • Ensuring secure, high code quality across the entire team.
  • Investigating and resolving production management incidents, problems, and service requests.
  • Interfacing with key stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Working with cross-functional teams for delivery.
  • Mentoring Mid/Junior Software Engineers.
  • Identifies innovative solutions to technical challenges.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


Required:

  • Native Spanish speaker who is proficient in English.
  • BA/BS in Comp Science/IS (or equivalent)
  • Typical 3-5 years' experience in full-stack software engineering.
  • Proficiency with .NET development using C# and ASP.NET MVC.
  • Proficiency with front-end technologies: Javascript, html5 and css.
  • Good knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Good knowledge of APIS (SOAP/REST).
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodology.
  • Ability to work with applicable collaboration tools that drive an end-to-end delivery of product through persistent teams. (Miro, Azure).
  • Proactive work style.
  • Delivery focused.


Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • DevOps practices for CI/CD, release management, and automation using Azure DevOps.
  • Git-based repositories such as GitHub, Bitbucket or Azure Repos.
  • Agile certifications: SAFe Certifications (SSM, SP) & Scrum Certifications.
  • Insurance/Finance Industry Experience.
