What We Need

UMortgage is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance professional to join our growing Technology Team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of manual and automated testing and professional experience using Python and JavaScript. This employee should expect to clearly define test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures. Additionally, they will be responsible for scripting automated User Interface tests, and ensuring they are kept accurate and successful.

What You’ll Do

• 
  Lead the development of automated testing frameworks for products and help guide the direction of quality assurance.
• Design, execute, and maintain automation systems and test scripts using open-source tools.
• Identify, record, and document defects and bugs thoroughly and monitor debugging process results.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal teams to identify system requirements.
• Provide input on functional requirements and assess issues including, but not limited to, field and customer problems, engineering and creative department defects, and bug remediation efforts.
• Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with legal and safety regulations.
• Educate and assist team members with technical guidance on quality assurance needs.
• Monitor system metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts, and develop ways to improve quality processes utilizing Jira.
• Ensure full lifecycle testing is met utilizing integration, regression, and stress tests.
• Stay up-to date with new testing tools and strategies.

• Additional responsibilities related to business needs.

What You Need

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Experience using JavaScript and Python
• 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role
• Experience working with automated testing tools and writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans.
• Experience coding and using QA software tools and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, CSS, SQL, and HTML are all a plus but not required.
