Job Specifications:

Working with both the Group CTO and MD of Suntransfers you will be the responsible leader of Suntransfers technology strategy, driving the engineering vision and architecture, focusing on security and site integrity, data compliance, core architecture and testing.

Who you are:

  • +5 years of technology management experience in an eCommerce environment using agile methodologies, managing and mentoring teams of 5 10 people.
  • Excellent people management skills in attracting, retaining, and developing top tech talent and proven ability to successfully scale a growing team.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels (you can explain technology topics to people with little technical background).
  • Background in Engineering, Technology, Software development and/or Product Management
  • Experience of cloud deployments e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Hands on experience in design and development of Enterprise applications
  • Experience with multiple software development processes and technologies including Javascript, NodeJS, PHP, MySQL, Docker
  • Experience in CMS development including data feeds from numerous 3rd party APIs
  • Experience developing product roadmaps in complex multi-product environments

More about what you will be doing:

  • Be a strong leader of the development team being responsible for coaching and mentoring the developers, identifying and improving weaknesses.
  • Be the owner of the architecture and technical road map: identify, prioritize, align with stakeholders, plan and execute.
  • Responsible for short and long-term projects, considering the appropriate use and efficiency of technology.
  • Be updated with the latest technologies, research about new software programmers and methodologies to improve our product on all platforms (web, API and mobile).
  • Be involved in every part of the development life cycle: initial analysis of business requirements, implementation, integration, testing, debugging and support
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to line up features for all products and deliver the company's strategic direction, development and future growth
  • Ensure collaboration and communication across the company and serve as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders when it comes to technologies and product efficiency.
  • Identify where the current platform can be componentised to services that can be used by many dependent systems
  • Embrace and communicate the company's culture, mission and strategy, to investors, staff, partners, clients and stakeholders.
