JavaScript Job: Software Engineer - Frontend

QuesTek Innovations LLC, located in Evanston, IL, is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer for frontend development to join our team. As a frontend developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web-based SaaS platform, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and highly functional. You will collaborate with our cross-functional teams, including backend developers and scientific software developers, to deliver exceptional user experiences and drive innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality, responsive web applications using modern frontend technologies, including ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with scientific software developers to translate UI/UX wireframes and mockups into fully functional web applications.
• Implement and maintain frontend architectures, ensuring scalability and performance optimization.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the highest level of quality and usability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience as a frontend developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of web development projects.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and related frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and frontend build tools (e.g., Vite).
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with serverless architecture and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles.
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
