Job Summary
Work as part of the Asset, Service and Workforce Management team on various cloud platforms, supporting development and configuration activities in all aspects including design, testing, peer reviews and more. Provide expertise in the development and implementation of changes and customer service enhancements.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
  • Leads in the design and development of solutions appropriate to business and systems requirements within the target platform
  • Participates in peer reviews of technical specifications of client requirements and schedules
  • Develop, write and test applications, hardware interface, systems interconnection software, identify, define and correct maintenance problems
  • Identifies opportunities and assists in the research and recommendation of forward-thinking initiatives to advance functionality / performance and reduce costs
  • Provides accurate and timely Level of Effort (LOE) analysis estimates for requested solutions of varying sizes.
  • Participates in code-walkthroughs and provides feedback to other team members
  • Creates clear, concise, and standard technical documentation and specifications for solutions and provides input into relevant documentation prepared by other groups
  • Assists in troubleshooting and problem solving for new applications/system modification within the team and provides solutions which promote best practices and standard procedures
Education/Occupational Certification:
  • Graduated from a recognized university/college with a degree/certification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Systems, Math, Engineering or an acceptable combination of education, related experience, and training.
Experience:
  • Background in computer systems and programming
  • Experience in debugging and code optimization
  • Experience analyzing, recommending, designing, and implementing solutions appropriate to the core technologies used, including an understanding of the Core Functionality, Reporting, Interfaces, Customizations and Extensions and how each will fit into the existing environment
  • Experience with Javascript an asset
  • Experience with C# an asset
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform an asset
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of software development and testing process from preliminary design to formal testing and acceptance
  • Knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software languages, test, debug, software development, software generation and configuration management tools
  • Knowledge of maintenance processes, procedures, business functions in context of the air navigation business
  • Current knowledge of industry trends and developments with respect to existing and evolving computer languages and technologies, productivity tools, user problems, communications equipment and systems suppliers, etc.
Abilities:
  • Technical skills and expertise in own functional area
  • Ability to provide expert advice, guidance and opinions in area of specialization
  • Ability to lead moderately complex to complex projects
  • Great at analyzing and solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues
  • Ability to analyze business processes and requirements and adapt them into technical designs
