JavaScript Job: React Developer

Bazar is seeking a Frontend React Developer to join our team in revolutionizing e-commerce through the development of our social marketplace application.

Bazar is a curated retail marketplace that connects customers with popular brands and small businesses. Our goal is to create an online community where users can discover and engage with their favorite products. Please note that this position is currently paid through through preferred revenue shares, equity-based compensation, or other means of value recognition. As a bootstrapped startup, we are looking for individuals who can help us monetize our marketplace while fostering a vibrant culture and community.

As a React Developer at Bazar, you will play a crucial role in improving the user experience and visual appeal of our web application. You will collaborate with our engineering team through regular Discord meetings, contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of our product. In addition to frontend responsibilities, you may also be involved in various smaller projects that contribute to the overall improvement of our platform.

To qualify for this position, you should possess the following:

• Enrollment or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited university
• Demonstrated experience with React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Python
• Strong frontend skills and a keen eye for design
• Familiarity with RESTful API integration
• Knowledge of user interface design and development principles
• General understanding of e-commerce web design
• Additional qualifications such as marketplace design, e-commerce knowledge, data structures and algorithms, Next.js, React Native, Django, clean code practices, and scalable system development are highly desirable
• An adaptable and problem-solving mindset to address complex technical challenges
