Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, and users to gather requirements and design scalable, high-performing systems.
- Develop detailed work plans for all phases of application development projects, including design, construction, and implementation.
- Implement industry best practices to ensure scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and optimal system performance.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation for new and existing applications.
- Oversee application troubleshooting and problem resolution, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Develop robust unit and system testing plans to ensure application quality.
- Contribute to the creation of user training materials and documentation.
- Work with enterprise applications such as Infor XA (MAPICS), IBM iSeries Query, Paylocity, American Presence, Secure FTP, System Link Tool Kit (SLTK), and BIRST Business Intelligence.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and explore opportunities to leverage them for process optimization and efficiency.
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate issues as needed, ensuring effective risk management.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as RPG, SQL, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and API development.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithm coding.
- Experience with NoSQL and business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with web services and APIs (REST, SOAP, MetaData, etc.).
- Ability to analyze and debug production issues, providing effective support to users.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret user requirements and develop efficient software solutions.
- Strong self-motivation, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Education:
- An Associate's degree or 5 years of relevant experience is required.
