Iris's direct end client which is one of the leading roofing and waterproofing manufacturer is urgently looking to hire SDET Lead 100% Remote. This is a Contract opportunity.

What we're looking for:

We are looking for a seasoned SDET Lead to take charge of testing initiatives within our engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in JavaScript and TypeScript test automation and should be comfortable to do hands on coding. You will work closely with development and product teams to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable test solutions.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software testing and automation, with a strong focus on JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining automated testing frameworks for web applications (using tools like Jest, Cypress, Mocha, WebDriverIO, Playwright etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of test automation strategies, including functional, integration, UI, and API testing.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI etc.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience leading teams in an Agile environment.
  • Strong experience in code quality practices, including code reviews and mentoring junior SDETs.
  • Expertise in version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of successfully leading and scaling test automation efforts across large teams.
